Can I operate Gego’s Cloud Desktop with multiple monitors?
Yes, multi-monitor operation is possible.

If the Basic Desktop is not enough for me, can I upgrade to Pro or Premium?
Yes. You can request to upgrade to a higher-level desktop version at any time without reinstalling. After the next restart, the features of the selected version will be available to you.

I only need a desktop once. Is that also possible?
Yes. You can start with just one desktop and expand it flexibly as your business requires.

Why are there less RAM available here than my laptop/notebook does?
In the cloud, we provide high-performance hardware that is very different from the power of a PC and laptop. Basically, any configuration is possible with the virtual desktops. A large hardware configuration does not automatically result in higher performance (speed).

Can I restrict the ''Copy & Paste'' feature?
Yes, the user or administrator can limit the ''Copy & Paste'' feature for individual users or entire teams at any time.

How fast does my internet connection have to be so that I can work with Gego’s Cloud Desktop?
A typical office workstation required a bandwidth of 128 kbps. For mobile work, a GPRS connection is sufficient.
Graphics-intensive applications require a higher bandwidth.

What happens if the data connection is suddenly interrupted?
Since your Cloud desktop operating system and application are running in our data center, you can work seamlessly on a reconnect. That in a word processor e.g. exactly at the position where you were before the connection was lost. All started operations will continue without a connection to your desktop.

How can I print?
We offer several different options for printing.

- If there is a VPN connection between the Gego’s Cloud Desktop environment and the company network, it is also possible to print on a network printer in the office.
- Print jobs can also be printed via a locally connected USB printer when using our native SW client.
- It is also possible to use printer manufacturers' own mobile printing tools such as ePrint to print from a Gego’s Cloud desktop to a dedicated printer.

Can I also telephone with Skype or the like in Gego’s Cloud Desktop?
Yes, with our native clients (WIN / LINUX / MAC) this is possible. Your headset will be passed through the Cloud desktop. Unfortunately, this is not possible with our HTML 5 client due to the HTML 5 protocol at this moment.

Which Windows operating systems are available?
In general, every x86 operating system runs in our Gego’s Cloud Desktops. However, the license terms of the operating system manufacturers tell us which operating system we are allowed to provide.

Gego Cloud offers you Microsoft WIN 10 Desktop Experience. This will be provided through Windows Server 2016 / 2019, which will also be licensed to us by Microsoft when a Windows desktop is selected.

Are there any special volume discounts for a larger number of desktops?

Where are all my files stored?
With File Drive, you can rest assured that your files are safe and are located in Malaysia, specifically in our secure and top-of-the-class Tier III certified Data Centre. Our data centre is reliable storage as well as high-end facilities.

What files formats can I upload?
You can upload any type of files into File Drive, but not all file types may be previewed.

Are there any restrictions on sharing?
There are no restrictions on sharing as you are free to share and collaborate with your team. However, as a responsible user, you are encouraged to share uncompromising files and according to best practices.

What if I lose some files in my storage?
According to Gego Cloud’s Shared Security Responsibility, Gego Cloud as the service provider is mainly responsible for operating, managing and controlling the security and compliance from the foundation level, such as the infrastructure, physical hardware, network connectivity up to the host operating system. This means that we are responsible to deliver uptime reliability of our services on a consistent basis. Meanwhile, the customer is responsible for making sure that their data, access management, web applications, and other configuration are handled according to the best practices.

On the other hand, you as the end-user is solely responsible for the data and team members’ access that you’ve given permission to. To avoid any unwanted scenarios, you are encouraged to make sure the proper configuration of sharing and viewing permissions, conduct regular access reviews and monitor for any unusual activity. What is VoIP? What does VoIP stands for?
VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. VoIP works by converting the analogue voice calls into packets of data. Then these packets travel like any other kind of data, for example e-mail, over the public Internet and/or any private Internet Protocol (IP) network. By a VoIP service, you can call landline or cell phones.

Difference between VoIP Phone and Traditional Telephony?
Traditional telephony typically uses analogue voltage signaling through the copper wire to transmit sounds to a telephone. The copper wire is generally of a poorer quality (Cat-3), and maximum distance is only a few kilometers. Phones have to be in this range to be linked to the PBX. On the other hand, in VoIP phones, the analogue voltage sounds are converted to numbers and packed into “envelopes” called IP-packets. These IP packets are identical type of packet, which the Internet uses to carry web browsing and email across the whole world. The IP-packets contain the digitized voice which is carried across the company LAN (Local Area Network) or across the Internet to every distant user then they are unpacked from the IP-packets and converted back to analogue sounds so the recipient can hear the voice.

Since the Internet can carry these packets everywhere in the world, the distance limitation between phone and PBX is no longer just a few kilometers. It is completely viable for an IP-phone in Johor to be connected to its PBX in Kuala Kumpur.
